Source4Quality, Inc.

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" Leonardo DaVinci

Our History

1991
The company began as a Total Quality Management consultancy because that was where our passion wanted us to go. But, pretty quickly, our customers told us to go somewhere else. (No, not there!)

ISO 9000 was where they wanted us to go. A great many of them, with no experience whatsoever with standards of that type, did what came naturally. They read it like Philadelphia lawyers, assuming meanings and requirements never intended.

Relentlessly moving on, they then parsed each of the 20 initial requirements and, to complete the vivisection, did likewise with each of the sentences and words within each sentence until they could no longer see the body for its bloody bits. They were suffering, as former ITT CEO Harold S. Geneen put it, “paralysis by analysis”.

The need for simplicity and pragmatic solutions was palpable and thus was born our ISO9000 consultancy.

1997
We were selected as a Preferred Provider to service the quality management needs of the 1100 member firms of the MidAtlantic Employers Association.

2000
We were selected by The Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce as a Preferred Provider to their 900 member firms.

2001
We incorporated and became Source4Quality, Inc.

At the same time, we founded QECUS to serve as the independent marketing representative and ISO 9000 registration facilitator in the United States for a UKAS accredited certification body, Quality and Environmental Certification, Ltd. (QEC CERTIFICATION). QECUS identifies and schedules registration projects and assigns them to qualified auditors who are approved by and operate under the direct control of QEC CERTIFICATION.   http://www.qecus.com

2003
We came full circle back to our TQM vision, when we were engaged to undertake development and implementation of a Malcolm Baldrige-based Total Quality Management System for a large non-profit social service organization.

In the same year, we undertook work for small, unionized unit of a major manufacturer to train and guide Self-Managed Work Teams.

2008
The Manufacturers Resource Center of the Lehigh Valley approved us as a Provider of quality management services leading to one project for ISO9001/ISO13485 implementation for a contract machine shop.

 2009
We were selected by the MidAtlantic Trade Adjustment Assistance Center to participate in grant programs, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce, for ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485:2003 implementation for two very small manufacturing firms.

2010
We were selected by a large, ISO9001:2008 certified, public vocational technical school to assist them in improving their internal audit program and to train their cadre of twenty internal auditors. That relationship is ongoing and will extend well into 2013.

2012
We were selected by a manufacturer of multiple core, armored plastic pipe for the oil and gas industry to implement an ISO9001:2008 quality system and led them to certification in ten months.

In addition, we entered into strategic alliance with Greenwing Solutions to develop a web based Corrective and Preventive Action and Action Item Management System. We expect to complete beta test and validation in the first quarter of 2013 and begin marketing it in the second quarter of 2013.

2013
We look forward to being able to offer accredited certification by LMS to ISO13485:2008.
